Rock Creek High School

Robin Blume, president, opened the meeting.  There were 4 members present.

The Alumni scholarship applications were reviewed.  Three applications were received.  The alumni members awarded a $100 scholarship to each of the applicants. A letter and certificate will be presented to each recipient at the Chapter Banquet.

Discussion followed concerning the application format.  Mr. Holliday suggested that the line item verifying GPA be hand written, filled in by the school counselor and signed as such by the counselor.  Discussion was also conducted concerning whether the GPA should be reported on a weighted scale or nonweighted scale.

Mr. Holliday stated when the Alumni scholarship recipients turn in their second semester schedule for enrollment verification and payment, the Gene Plummer scholarship recipient should turn in an additional schedule to be submitted to Janice Umscheid.

The next meeting date has been rescheduled to April 9, 2007 because of scheduling conflicts.  It will be held in the ag room at the high school at 6:30.  The officer candidates will be interviewed and the alumni will decide on proficiency awards, Chapter Star, and the DeKalb award.

Mr. Holliday made the announcement that Kally Hood and Andy Newkirk will receive the State FFA Degree at State Convention 2007.  Tiffany Ebert will receive the American FFA Degree at National Convention 2007, and Kally Hood is the District Star in Agricultural Placement Winner and will compete at the state level at State Convention 2007.  Seven members attended the livestock judging contest on March 13 and results were pending.

The Labor Auction netted over $2,000 and Monica Ebert received approximately $400 for her WLC trip in the summer of 2007.  The Alumni chapter will discuss donating $50 towards her trip at the next meeting.

Meeting was adjourned.
