Creek High School
Robin Blume,
president, opened the meeting. There were 4 members present.
The
Alumni scholarship applications were reviewed. Three applications were received. The alumni members awarded a $100 scholarship to each of the applicants. A letter and certificate will be presented to each recipient at the Chapter Banquet.
Discussion
followed concerning the application format. Mr. Holliday suggested that the line
item verifying GPA be hand written, filled in by the school counselor and signed as such by the counselor. Discussion was also conducted concerning whether the GPA should be reported on a weighted scale or nonweighted
scale.
Mr. Holliday
stated when the Alumni scholarship recipients turn in their second semester schedule for enrollment verification and payment,
the Gene Plummer scholarship recipient should turn in an additional schedule to be submitted to Janice Umscheid.
The
next meeting date has been rescheduled to April 9, 2007 because of scheduling conflicts.
It will be held in the ag room at the high school at 6:30. The officer
candidates will be interviewed and the alumni will decide on proficiency awards, Chapter Star, and the DeKalb award.
Mr. Holliday
made the announcement that Kally Hood and Andy Newkirk will receive the State FFA Degree at State Convention 2007. Tiffany Ebert will receive the American FFA Degree at National Convention 2007, and Kally Hood is the District
Star in Agricultural Placement Winner and will compete at the state level at State Convention 2007. Seven members attended the livestock judging contest on March 13 and results were pending.
The Labor Auction
netted over $2,000 and Monica Ebert received approximately $400 for her WLC trip in the summer of 2007. The Alumni chapter will discuss donating $50 towards her trip at the next meeting.

October 10th, 2006
The monthly
meeting of the Rock Creek FFA Alumni came to order by President Bernadette Trieb, on October 10th, 2006 at the
Rock Creek cafeteria. The meeting followed the Pizza Party sponsored by the alumni, where Paige Crum Plummer gave a presentation
on her trip to the Washington Leadership Conference.
The first item on the agenda was making plans for the November meeting. It was decided to have the meeting
at Famous Dave’s on November 14th starting at 5:30pm. It was decided that the alumni would pay for each member’s
meal and one non-alcoholic drink. Next on the agenda was election of officers. The new officers are as follows:
President: Robin Blume
Vice-President: Billy Brown
Secretary: Sue Brown
Treasurer: Marla Hieger
Mr. Holliday reported that there will
be six students attending the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana later
this month. Billy Brown will be going and getting his American Degree. Kally Hood is one of the top four in the nation for
her Equine Science Placement Proficiency. She will be going to interview, and find out the results!
After the meeting was adjourned, Mr. Holliday had an Advisory Council meeting where he talked about
the new ag. facility.
There were 10 members and one guest present.

The
monthly meeting of the Rock Creek FFA Alumni was called to order on September 14th, 2006 at 6pm in Mr. Holliday’s
room. The main item on the agenda was the meal the club was putting on at the Homecoming football game on September 29th.
It was decided to do hamburgers, chips, cookies, and drinks.
Hamburgers (5 boxes=200 hamburgers)

Cookies (members would make)

Pepsi (3 packs)
Dr. Pepper (2 packs)

It was decided the price of a meal would
by $4, individual prices would be:
Hamburger $2.50
Chips $.75
Cookies $.50
Pop $.75
Water $1.00
We will start grilling
at 4:30pm. Members need to come help set up around 5pm. We will start serving at 5:30pm.
**Following the meal, it was noted that
more pickles, ketchup and diet pop was needed. It was also noted to also include cheese.**
In our checking account we have $527.72. The next item on the agenda was deciding the meeting dates for the following
year.

It
was decided that all meetings will be at 7pm, unless changed at previous meeting. Mr. Holliday talked briefly about the potential
new ag building. He passed around the plans for it. The meeting was then adjourned.
April 10th, 2006
The monthly meeting of the Rock Creek FFA Alumni came to
order on April 10th, 2006 at 6pm in Holliday’s Room. New business was going over scholarship applications.
Tiffany Ebert received a scholarship from the alumni, and was also awarded the Dekalb Award. Monica Ebert was selected as
the Star Greenhand. It was decided that next year we would have a formal application for that award. The meeting was then
adjourned.

March 14th, 2006
The monthly meeting of the Rock Creek FFA Alumni was called to order on March 14th, 2006 at 6pm by President Bernadette Trieb. Treasurer Marla Hieger announced we have $726.19 in our checking account, $1,033
in our savings account, and $508.03 in our WLC account. New business was a few reminders of upcoming activities. The state
alumni dues are due April 1st. April 10th will be our next meeting, which it is also the night of officer
interviews. David Holliday explained the new point system that they developed for officer interviews. Holliday also reported
on recent FFA events, such as Day on the Farm Day, Super CDE Day, and Livestock Judging. He also announced that the chapter
banquet will be on April 27th at 6pm.
The idea was brought up and discussed about possibly getting a banner in the gym (similar to the sports ones) that would include
district, state, and national winners. It was decided to wait, look and different types of banners, and get a rough estimate
of the cost before we make any motions/decisions about it. The meeting was then adjourned.
