The Rock Creek FFA Alumni met on September 18, 2007 in Mr. Holliday’s room at Rock Creek High School.  There were 8 members present.

Robin Blume, president, chaired the meeting.  Items presented were:

1. Alumni dues are $16/person or $150/lifetime membership.  They are to be paid this fall.
2. Thank you notes for Alumni Scholarships from Andy Newkirk and Christine Ebert were read.
3. The FFA Alumni hamburger meal will be October 5^th prior to the high school homecoming game.  Food items needed are as follows:
   • 240 hamburger patties
   • 240 hamburger buns
   • Pop – 10 cases from the school
   • 2 cases of water
   • Individual chips for 240
   • 3 bottles ketchup
   • 1 bottle mustard
   • 3 bottles mayonnaise
   • 3 chopped onions
   • 1 gallon jar pickles
   • 100 slices cheese
   • 2 bags charcoal
   • plates
   • aluminum foil wraps

The meal prices are as follows:

·        Hamburger meal                       $4.00  (hamburger, chips, cookies, pop or water)

·        Cheeseburger meal                   $4.50  (cheeseburger, chips, cookies, pop or water)

·        Hamburger                               $2.50

·        Cheeseburger                           $3.00

·        Chips                                       $.75

·        Pop or water                            $.75

·        Cookies (2/bag)                       $.50

4. Mr. Holliday gave a report on the chapter. 

            ·        Eleven students attended greenhand conference. 

·        Super CDE is the last week of September. 

·        The chapter is helping with the benefit meal for Bruce Fouts.  It will be September 30 at the grade school. 

·        Hood Paint Horses have donated 2 colts to be sold as a fund raiser.  One sold for $400 and the other one is up for raffle.  Tickets are $10/one and $15/two.  The drawing will be in October. 

·        The ag building is coming along slowly.  Ground has been broken. 

·        The Intro to Ag has 25 students, Ag Mech has 25 students, the junior high has 25 ag students and 4 students are enrolled in the Animal Science class.

5. The 2007-2008 tentative meeting schedule is as follows

·        October 5              Hamburger meal at the football game

·        October 9              WLC pizza meal with Monica Ebert presenting

·        November 15         Alumni dinner at a restaurant

·        November 29         Chapter caroling

·        January 22              Meeting

·        February 8             BBQ meal at basketball game

·        February 18           Labor Auction

·        March 11               Meeting

·        April 7                    Officer interviews

·        April 24                  Chapter banquet

·        May 29                  Dinner with the chapter at a restaurant in Manhattan during convention
